How to Play

Barbarous – Tavern of Emyr is a GameHouse Premiere exclusive Time Management game. The goal of the game is to serve patrons of your tavern as quickly as possible and earn high scores while completing side and story quests.

1. Serve customers by tapping the item shown in the order bubble above their head. This will add the item to your serving tray, or inventory. Then, tap on the customer to bring them their order.

Tip! If you accidentally put the wrong item on your tray or don’t need it anymore, tap the item on your inventory tray to remove it!

2. Combine items made of multiple ingredients by tapping the ingredients in the correct order.

3. Cook or pour orders which take time to prepare by tapping the station (e.g. keg or fire pit). A meter will appear showing its progress. Tap the item when the needle lands in the green zone to add it to your tray.

Tip! If you don’t pick up items which require cooking or pouring in time, they may burn or overflow – meaning you’ll need to start over again!

4. Check out customers by tapping the register – or Pix the mimic treasure chest, in this case!

Scoring and Customer Happiness

Customers give scores based on the level of service you provide. The more hearts a customer has, the happier they are and the bigger tip they’ll leave! If a customer loses all their hearts, they’ll leave without giving a score.

Earn bonus points by serving all the items of an order in a single trip, serving orders quickly, and checking out more than one customer at once!

Mice Locations

The various taverns of Barbarous all hide their own version of mice. But since they’re bigger than a mouse, we’ll call them rats! A rat is hidden in every level of the game. Find them all to earn bonus points and a special trophy! For help locating rats, check out the Rat Locations section.

Gwen’s Room

Everyone knows a girl’s room is her sanctuary. Complete bonus story and side objectives while playing levels to earn diamonds and upgrade Gwen’s room!

We sat down for a virtual interview with the Blue Giraffe’s lead game designer, Jennifer Klement, to give fans a chance to see Heart’s Medicine like you’ve never seen it before. We hope you enjoy this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the beloved series!

Blue Giraffe Games is the studio behind the new Heart’s Medicine games. What’s it like developing new stories for Heart’s Medicine?

“Working on the story for Heart’s Medicine is like a dream come true! Allison has faced many challenges and gone through a lot of personal growth throughout the years but it’s still great fun to come up with new challenges for her and figuring out how she’ll overcome each and every one of them.”

Is Allison Heart based off a real person? What inspired the stories and characters behind Heart’s Medicine?

“Allison herself is not based on a real person, but many of the things she goes through are often rooted in real experiences our team has encountered. We tend to take our own struggles and incorporate them into the story. Other characters are sometimes based loosely on people we encounter in real life but are mostly created to bring a new dynamic into the story and to make Allison’s life even more interesting.”

How much time does it take to make a game like Heart’s Medicine?

“It used to take us about 9 months to create games like Time to Heal and Hospital Heat. Doctor’s Oath however is a much bigger game and is set up in a very different way. We worked on it for almost 1 ½ years before it came out on mobile and we’re still working on new versions that have new stories, levels and special events for our players to enjoy!”

How many people does it take working together as a team to create a game like Heart’s Medicine?

“Normally we have a team of about 15 people to create new games. But because we’re working on two different games right now, the development team that’s still working on updates for Doctor’s Oath is only about 7 people strong. Then of course there’s also the people working on customer service, quality assurance, our PR team and the wonderful people that keep the servers up and running!”

How much does it cost to make a game like Heart’s Medicine?

“Haha it’s not cheap! We have to pay our entire extended team salaries during the development, as well as our monthly rent and other things such as computers, test devices and software!”

Wow, that’s quite an investment! Speaking of, where would you like to see Heart’s Medicine go in the future?

“We’ll be expanding the story in Doctor’s Oath and we’ll continue making improvements in the game to make it the best game it can be!”

I’m sure many fans are wondering: Team Connor or Team Daniel?

“Haha our team is pretty much split down the middle, both guys are great! Some like Connor because he’ll always be there for Allison and some like Daniel because he really gets her, you know?”

Good news, Heart’s Medicine fans! A new update is available for Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath on PC. Since the game’s release, our team has been hard at work optimizing and improving the game. A new build is now available on PC, addressing issues such as the Level 17 Challenge bug “Help Grant” preventing progress, and other performance improvements. After all, we want everyone to enjoy the best version of the game! Below you’ll find instructions on how to update Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath on PC.

Step 1 – Determining Your Platform

Depending on which version of our website you’re playing on or the Windows operating system you’re using, the instructions for updating your game differ slightly. Please refer to the screenshots in this guide to determine which platform and operating system applies to you.

Step 2 – Updating Your Game

In order to update Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath, you’ll need to uninstall and redownload the game. Don’t worry – your save data will not be deleted. It will be kept safe and available to you as soon as you start up the new version of the game.

Step 3 – How to Get the Latest Version of Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath on PC

Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath is a GameHouse exclusive Time Management game. Also available on mobile devices, the goal of the game is to treat patients in a timely manner while unlocking new chapters of a thrilling medical drama.

Allison Heart’s biggest game yet comes with some unique new challenges. Much like real medicine, making progress may require you to retrace your steps. In addition to the game’s main Story Levels, there are hundreds of additional Challenge Levels with their own unique goals. Welcome to the Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath Official Walkthrough! This is the official GameHouse strategy guide featuring all Oliver locations, gameplay mechanics, tips & tricks, and more! Want to learn how to play Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath? You’ve come to the right place!

How to Play

Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath is all about helping patients get the right treatment quickly. When a patient enters the clinic, they’ll tell you which station they require.

• Assigning Patients: Tap on the patient, then tap on the station matching their request bubble to send them there.

Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath – How to Assign Patient to Station

After the patients reach the station, you can begin treating them.

• Treatments: Regular treatments are marked by a green order bubble. The color will drain from the bubble over time. Completing a treatment before the color drains completely will improve a patient’s mood.

Treatments can be instant, but they may also require an item to be completed. Some patients may even require multiple treatments before asking to move to another station. Completing these treatments back-to-back is often the most effective way to assist them.

Completing multiple treatments in a row will reward you with a Treatment Chain bonus of +1 heart per additional treatment.

Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath – How to Treat Patients

Some treatments require items.

• Items: You can pick up an item by tapping on it. Some items need to be combined to create the final item, while others with numbers are available in limited stock and will have to be restocked from time to time. The restock area is usually located somewhere else in the room or clinic.

Occasionally a treatment will be extra challenging and require you to complete a minigame.

• Minigames: Minigame treatments can be recognized by their blue bubble color. You’ll need to play a minigame and complete it within a short period of time in order to treat the patient.

Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath – Minigame Example

Being a doctor requires you to keep on your toes! That includes performing unique Actions to assist some patients.

Actions: Actions can be easily recognized by their purple meter color. In order to complete these treatments, you’ll need to perform a gesture such as tapping repeatedly, holding, or sliding a button back and forth.

If the above treatments are performed successfully, a patient may earn extra hearts. Once a patient has finished being treated, they’ll be ready to check out of the clinic.

• Checkout: A patient who has received all their treatment will move to the checkout desk. Tap on the computer monitor to check them out and receive a final score based on your performance.

Checking patients out quickly, or checking out multiple patients in a row will award extra bonus points!

If you enjoy working under pressure, you’ll love the Next Patient button. Every time you tap this button, the next patient will appear immediately. This is a great way to increase your score, but be careful! If a patient is kept waiting too long, they’ll lose hearts.

Scoring and Patient Happiness

All patients have hearts. Hearts are a good indicator of how a patient is feeling. The more hearts a patient has, the happier they are. If you perform enough treatments quickly, patients may get Golden Hearts. Once a patient’s heart has turned golden, you will no longer lose hearts. That includes if you keep them waiting at the checkout register! Golden Heart patients will give you 1 extra bonus heart at checkout.

Additional Bonuses can be earned by treating patients quickly. Finishing an action quickly will add even more bonus hearts!

Your final score is tallied at the end of your shift. You can earn up to 5 Stars per shift, each with their own target score. Earning at least 1 Star will unlock the next level. However, you will also need to earn Stars in order to open locks on the level select map.

Bonus Features – Upgrades, Challenge Chests, Player Level & More

There are a number of unique bonus features in Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath. These features include:

Player Level

As you work your way up from intern to doctor, your Player Level will increase. Reaching new levels offers valuable rewards, including new shop items, Boosters, and hearts.

Boosters

Boosters are single-use items. You can buy them at the start of a level and use them during that level only. Boosters can be found in chests, and may also be awarded by increasing your Player Level.

Card Packs

Unlike Boosters, Card Packs are sets of items that can be bought in the Shop. When you reach a Card Pack on the map, its contents will be added to the shop for you.

Shop

The Hearts you earn from completing levels can be used as currency for shopping. Buying shop items can make gameplay easier and help you earn higher scores. As an added service, any items you purchase will be delivered directly to the next level for you! Each hospital department has its own shop, but there are also shop items which can be used across all levels. Replay levels to earn even more shopping money!

Challenge Chests

When you reach a Challenge Chest on the map, you can tap it to see what’s needed to open it. Meet the criteria to open a chest – including (re)playing levels – then return to the chest to unlock your reward. Chest rewards vary, but they’re always well worth your while!

How to Unlock New Chapters and Locations

Heart’s Medicine – Doctor’s Oath is divided into six hospital rooms. Each location has a main path with Story Levels, and additional paths which contain all other Challenge Levels. Some sections of the map are locked. Tap the lock to find out how to break it!

Level Types

There are five different types of levels in the game:

• Story Levels start and end with story scenes and contain a special challenge. Playing these levels will progress the game’s main story.

• Challenge Levels offer even more special challenges and do not contain story scenes. Each challenge you complete, you’ll earn ten Diamonds.

• Minigame Levels have the added challenge of trying to complete as many minigames as possible before time runs out.

• Guinea Pig Levels are cute, but also present a unique challenge – find as many guinea pigs (or Olivers) as possible before time runs out!

• Time Trial Levels put you in a race against the clock to help as many patients as possible before time runs out. Don’t forget to use the Next Patient button during these levels!

Character Puzzles

Multiple Character Puzzles are scattered throughout the map. Completing a Character Puzzle will unlock a special story scene with that character. As an added bonus, they’ll also award you ten extra Diamonds! You’ll need to tackle specific challenges in order to unlock these special story scenes.

Chapter 1 – The Clinic

Allison’s first shift begins in the Clinic, where she’ll learn the ropes as an intern. The Clinic location contains Story Levels 1 – 10 and all “A” Challenge Levels. In the Clinic, Allison will administer first aid and basic medical treatment to patients.

If you’re a Windows user, chances are you’ve used Internet Explorer at least once. On older Microsoft computers, it’s the default web browser. However, according to Microsoft’s security chief Chris Jackson, Internet Explorer comes with a number of safety issues and will soon to be a thing of the past.

As part of our commitment to making our players’ experiences the safest they can possibly be, we will also be removing support of Internet Explorer from our website. But don’t worry! If you’re currently using Internet Explorer to play games, there’s some great alternatives out there, which we will be outlining a little later in this article.

What’s Wrong with Internet Explorer?

So why is Microsoft’s own security chief discouraging people from using Internet Explorer? According to him, it’s a matter of safety and “technical debt”. So what exactly does this mean?

1.      Internet Explorer Has Security Problems

Microsoft officially stopped supporting all versions of Internet Explorer up to Internet Explorer 10 back in 2016. That means no patches or security updates, which leaves your computer more vulnerable to issues such as viruses and malware. The most recent version, Internet Explorer 11, also contains a slew of security issues that can compromise your computer.

2.      Websites Don’t Work Well

Unlike other browsers, Internet Explorer has problems displaying websites correctly. This can result in layout issues, or websites appearing otherwise “broken” and difficult to use. And let’s face it: When even Microsoft says it’s time to get a new browser, it’s time to get a new browser!

3.      Internet Explorer is S…L…O…W…

Compared to other browsers, Internet Explorer is slow. Really slow. And it’s a direct result of years of patches and fixes. Think of it like an old car: Sure, it still runs, but the older it gets, the more you need to get it fixed, parts replaced – not to mention it’s lacking the latest safety features. Internet Explorer is much the same.

If you’ve used Internet Explorer for years, naturally changing your default browser will probably sound a bit spooky. However, even Microsoft is encouraging Internet Explorer users to move to a safer alternative, such as…

1.      Microsoft Edge

If you’re a Windows 10 user, good news! Microsoft Edge is already installed on your computer and only a click away. In addition to being Microsoft’s newer and safer alternative to Internet Explorer, the web browser is actively kept up-to-date with the latest Microsoft security features.

If you’re using an older version of Windows, such as Windows 7 or 8, the browser does not come default with your computer and will need to be downloaded separately.

This upgrade is FREE for all GameHouse members – all you need to do is update your game. How do you update Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World to Collector’s Edition on PC? Step 1 – Determining Your Platform

Depending on which version of our website you’re playing on or the Windows operating system you’re using, the instructions for updating your game are a little different. Please use the screenshots in this guide to help determine which platform and operating system you’re using.

Step 2 – Updating Your Game

To update Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World to Collector’s Edition on our Classic platform, you’ll need to uninstall and redownload the game. Please note installing the Collector’s Edition will reset your previous game progress and save data.

Updating the game on our subscription platform is a bit easier. Choose your platform and operating system from the Quick Navigation menu below for detailed instructions on how to update Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World for free.

Step 3 – How to Get the Collector’s Edition of Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World

Below are instructions on how to update Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World to claim the free Collector’s Edition upgrade. Use the Quick Navigation to select the scenario that applies to you:

If you’re a GameHouse Subscription member and playing on any Windows operating system:

1. Click “My Games” at the top of the screen.

2. Hover your cursor over the thumbnail of the game you would like to delete.

3. Click the trash can button to delete the game.

4. Alternatively, select Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World and click “PLAY” to update the game.
   (You may also select the game from the game page or GameHouse homepage.)

5. That’s it! The updated Collector’s Edition will automatically download and upgrade your game to Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World Collector’s Edition.

If you’re a GameHouse Classic Member using the legacy version of our website on Windows 10:

1. Click the “Start” or “Search” menu on your computer, located in the lower left corner.

2. Type “Control Panel” and click the option that appears.

3. Under “Programs”, click “Uninstall a Program”.
   Note: You may need to select “Programs and Features” first, depending on your operating system layout.

4. Under “Uninstall or change a program”, select “Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World”. Click “Uninstall” to uninstall and delete the game.

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, then tap “Search”.
   Note: If you’re using a mouse, point to the upper right corner of the screen. From there, move the mouse pointer down and click “Search”.

2. Type “Control Panel” in the search box. Tap or click “Control Panel” in the search results.

3. Under “View By”, select “Large Icons”. Then tap or click “Programs and Features”.

4. Tap or click “Adventure Trip – Wonders of the World”, then select “Uninstall”.
